If you’re like me and you don’t like Safari 4 for the one reason you have no progress bar, what’s all that about, having said that even Google Chrome is the same, but anyway, for Snow Leopard users its finally solved.
1. Download the same Safari 3.2.3 portable by clicking here! (Open in a new tab/window)
2. In a Finder window containing the file “Safari 3.app”, right click and “Show Package Content”
3. Open the only folder available marked “Contents”, then “MacOS”, then double click the Terminal file marked “TrueSafari” and a Terminal window will open and as will Safari 3.
4. However if you close the Terminal window you will also close Safari 3 as that is preventing Snow Leopard from knowing what OS the application requires. Safari 3 runs as it does on Leopard in my experience.
TIP; Right click the “TrueSafari” command and “Create Alias”, copy the alias file to a more convenient place, Documents etc, you then can launch Safari 3 by double clicking that alias!
